Busan Citizen's hall pic

Busan’s first large-sized performance facility
that has breathed with the people of Busan for over 40 years.

Busan Citizen Hall, boasting the longest history and tradition along the public culture and arts halls in Korea, opened October 10, 1973 and has breathed with the local people for 45 years.

Busan Citizen Hall has laid a foundation for Busan’s growth into a ‘cultural city’ as Bsan’s major cultural facility in the 1970s and 1980s when there was no particular cultural facility.

It has been operated by Busan Cultural Hall since October 1, 2017 after management and operation by Busan Metropolitan City and Busan Facility Corporation.

Busan Citizen Hall completely renovated and repaired the grand theater’s audience seats and the exhibition hall in 2009 and remodeled the small theater’s audience seats and lobby, the rehearsal room, the seminar room, and the makeup room in 2012. The grand theater’s lobby and the small theater’s makeup room were remodeled in 2013 as a part of ceaseless improvement. We are making best efforts to provide better services by improving our staff members.

Also, we have added a variety of amenities for the audiences to become a hall of public culture and arts that is always accessible and widely open for the people.

We invite you to experience a different kind of art at Busan Citizen Hall’s cyber space. Then please visit us in person to share your encouragement and advice for our development. Busan Citizen Hall will be waiting for you for your artistic experience.
